Mindful of the growing need for representation and negotiations with Portuguese-speaking countries, CNS provides customized courses to students who are interested in acquiring and improving ﬂuency in Portuguese.
This stage of the course deals with the socio-cultural knowledge of Brazil and its variants, showing the student the Portuguese language alphabet, writing and pronunciation.
It enables the acquisition of vocabulary and grammatical structures that are essential for a brief communication, but efﬁcient, making it possible to distinguish between Portuguese and portunhol, in a simple but correct way.
In general, the Basic course allows the student to distinguish the socio-cultural diversity of the country and the language. The phonological area studies the intonation, pronunciation and accent of the language. Vocabulary will be presented for everyday situations of leisure, business and shopping. We grammatically address adjectives, pronouns, articles, verbs in the present and past tense.
At the end of this module the student will be able to keep a telephone conversation, answer emails, understand songs, get information, give orders, among other skills.
This course is divided in Basic I and Basic II.
In this second stage of the course we expand the linguistic expressions and false cognates. The student will learn more complex structures, produce more elaborated texts, their speech will be richer and cadenced.
We present all verb tenses, all kinds of clauses and speeches, personal pronouns of direct and indirect use. The use of idioms start to make part of the students vocabulary. The understanding of writing and listening will be greatly expanded. The cadence of speech and its enrichment with pronouns are great objectives of this stage.
The course is divided in Intermediate I and Intermediate II
With constant exposure to this method and all the commitment by the student in the previous stages, the goal of the advanced course is to make the student able to communicate ﬂuidly in both professional and personal situations.
We put into practice all the knowledge of the Intermediate level and deepen our knowledge in verbs to express feelings and changes as well as the verbs of understanding physical and intellectual perception, concessive clauses, practice of other types of clauses such as consecutive, comparative, word formation and more idiomatic expressions.
The linguistic and cultural knowledge are improved. The production of texts becomes consistent in all areas of usage and mastering the language becomes more natural.
The course is divided into Advanced I, II & III.
This course is designed for those who have already acquired the language skills in Portuguese and do not want to lose it.
We repeat the techniques of the natural production models exposure, however at this stage we intensify the use of: movies, music, books, newspapers, DVDs,music, games and classes that allow students to understand and comment on current subjects as well as socio-cultural knowledge in Brazil.
This course lasts for 32 hours.
For the development of classes some instructional materials and textbooks of the most important publishers in the market are used, such as Diálogo Brasil, Avenida Brasil,Via Brasil,Falar, Ler e Escrever Português, Bem-vindo, Muito Prazer, etc&
In addition, in order to have classes that are always updated and aligned with the dynamism and innovation of the market, we also use articles,texts and podcasts published in renowned vehicles of communication such as Folha, Estadão, Carta Capital, revista Veja, IstoÉ, etc,.
Developed by the Ministry of Education, a Certiﬁcate of Language Proﬁciency in Portuguese for Foreigners is the only ofﬁcially recognized certiﬁcate. It is comprised of 4 levels of proﬁciency: Intermediated (equivalent to B1),High Intermediate (equivalent to B2), Advanced (equivalent to C1) and High Advanced (equivalent to C2).
The exam takes place twice per year in April and October. The Preparation for the CELPE-BRAS can be done from February to April or August to October, six hours per week (Total: 48h).

Certificado de Proficiência em Língua Portuguesa para Estrangeiros.
Como a própria sigla diz, este é o único certificado oficial brasileiro que atesta a proficiência em português de um candidato estrangeiro.
Destina-se, portanto, a alunos e profissionais estrangeiros interessados em estudar ou trabalhar no Brasil. São quatro os níveis de certificação: intermediário, intermediário superior, avançado e avançado superior
O processo de inscrição é feito através do site do INEP – inscrição. Lá também podem ser encontradas todas as informações necessárias, como a lista dos documentos exigidos.
O teste pode ser feito por estrangeiros e brasileiros, residentes no Brasil e no exterior, cuja língua materna não seja o português.
O candidato precisa comprovar idade mínima de 16 anos. A escolaridade exigida deve ser equivalente ao ensino fundamental brasileiro completo.
O Celpe-Bras é realizado em 34 países, sendo 23 postos aplicadores credenciados no Brasil e 61 no exterior.

A prova do Celpe-Bras é realizada duas vezes no ano, uma a cada semestre. Em 2015, por exemplo, a primeira prova foi realizada em maio, e a segunda, em meados de outubro.
O exame do Celpe-Bras tem duas partes, uma prova oral e outra escrita. Para ser aprovado, o candidato precisa passar pelas duas.
Ele é realizado na mesma data em todos os postos de aplicação, e a avaliação é a mesma para todos os países.
PARTE ESCRITA (com duração de 3 horas) – duas tarefas integrando compreensão oral e produção escrita e duas tarefas integrando leitura e produção escrita.
PARTE ORAL (com duração de 20 minutos) – interação verbal a partir de atividades e interesses mencionados pelo examinando na ficha de inscrição conversa sobre tópicos do cotidiano, de caráter mais geral, com base em elementos provocadores.
